10. Cuckoo Birds
Female cuckoo birds have gained quite a reputation for their negligent parenting style. These birds lay their eggs in the nests of other birds and abandon them even before they hatch. The foster parents, unable to distinguish the cuckoo’s eggs from their own, incubate them all equally. This leads to chaos and losses for the foster parents, as the cuckoo chick grows faster and outcompetes the smaller, native chicks.
