The ostrich and pronghorn are remarkable animals that can maintain sustained paces for extended periods. With unique leg tendons that act as springs, the ostrich can keep up its pace for approximately 45 minutes, showcasing its impressive endurance. Similarly, the pronghorn, known for its annual horn shedding, can continue running for extended periods.
However, despite their remarkable stamina, both the ostrich and pronghorn have their limits. While they excel at covering significant distances, eventually, their energy reserves deplete, and they are unable to maintain their pace indefinitely.
