Toggle8. Dunkleosteus: The Prehistoric Cannibal

Dunkleosteus was a terrifying armored fish that lived in the late Devonian period. It was a fearsome predator known for eating its own kind, making it cannibalistic. It could grow up to 33 feet long and had jaws as powerful as a Tyrannosaurus rex. Its bite force was so strong that it could crush metal, which made it a highly effective predator.
Although Dunkleosteus mainly fed on other Dunkleosteus, it was not limited to cannibalism and could also hunt and eat other creatures, including humans, if given the chance. Its enormous size and strength made it the top predator of its time, and it both fascinated and awed people who learned about it.
